Ball Cap Liner Congratulates Chris Young for the 2015 World Series!

Chris-YoungBall Cap Liner Congratulates Chris Young and the Kansas City Royals for the 2015 World Series! Chris Young gave up two hits and two runs with three strikeouts and one walk in four innings Saturday in the Royals’ win over the Mets in Game 4 of the World Series.

We are also very proud that Chris Young recently tried the Ball Cap Liner and he loved it!!!

The Ball Cap Liner is a very sophisticated Impact protection headgear for baseball and softball infielders that utilizes a streamlined design with space age materials allowing a comfortable, lightweight fit while providing tremendous protection; including coverage of the vulnerable temple area. Fits snugly under a cap only requiring 1 size larger if wearing a fitted cap. A blend of protection and sleek design so the wearer doesn’t experience a cumbersome feel nor sacrifice appearance.

We hope that in the near future all major league baseball players will be wearing the BCL and loving it too!

Ball Cap Liner

Ball Cap Liner

The Ball Cap Liner (BCL) is the most comfortable and advanced protective liner on the market.  Ideal for ball sports, baseball and softball. The BCL was designed to provide increased protection against impacts to the head and to significantly reduce ball and scrape injuries in the covered areas. The BCL is available in two sizes and two models, with and without Temple Guard.

The results speak for themselves. BCL was one of only two protective liners to pass the NOCSAE 029 impact test for the frontal area; all other competitors on the market failed and most by a very large margin. With only about ¼” of thickness it would seem impossible that the BCL could pass a fielders helmet frontal impact standard, but it did!

The BCL offers a minimalistic and sleek patented design with patented advanced shock absorbing materials. Weighing only 4.3 ounces, the BCL incorporates two space-age materials: the patented D3O “smart rate sensitive” pad from the UK and patented “metal replacement” plastic injection polymer from Switzerland. It is the only product offering complete coverage of the vulnerable temple area (BCL with Temple Guard). The BCL allows the head to stay cool since the top and rear of the head are not covered. A washable soft pad liner rests against the skin and Velcro straps provide a secure fit.

Concept, Design and Pitching a Product: The Drywall Axe

Concept, Design and Pitching a Product: The Drywall Axe

Adam Pauze is from Aurora, ON and he is the inventor of the Drywall Axe, a multi function tool that makes cutting drywall and other materials safer and easier.

Two and a half years ago he was working on a drywall job when he accidently took a slice out of his arm cutting a piece of drywall. Later that same evening he came up with the concept for the drywall axe. Not knowing how to bring his concept to reality he turned to the internet. Being new to the invention process he chose a company that promised him success but after taking his money did very little to help his cause, no patent and a prototype that looked like it was widdled out of a piece of wood with a jack knife.

Not knowing where to turn with his invention he caught a huge break when his friend owner of TRI-RIK painting was doing a job for Robert Dickie owner of Spark Innovations. A 24 year old award winning Industrial Design company with over 180 issued patents located in King City, ON. After the introduction with Bob Dickie everything started to fall into place. Spark Innovations helped him file for his utility patent ; made him award winning prototypes, build his website www.pauzeinnovations.com , and took care of all his graphics for the two trade shows he attended last year.

The first trade show Adam attended was INPEX in Pittsburgh where he won a gold medal of merit for his display (Spark Innovations did the graphics). Second trade show was the Electronic Retail Association trade show in Las Vegas where he won inventor of the year in the new product search category for the Drywall Axe.

At INPEX Pittsburgh he was able to pitch his product to the Global Development manager of Stanley tools. He was very impressed and invited him to corporate head office to show his invention. Adam is currently in negotiations with them. He is also in talks with Canadian Tire and has a letter of intent for a purchase order with Home Hardware who also invited him to their invitation only trade show.

After showing his invention to a few Global companies they all came back with the same complaints, the blade doesn’t retract, it’s too bulky, and the tape measure is too long. Taking their advice Spark Innovation and Adam went back to the drawing board and redesigned the Drywall Axe with all the changes mentioned. We believe we got it right this time and so do the companies were in talks with. This year one or more of these companies will have this innovative new multi-tool invention in their line up.

Drywall Axe Opportunities

Drywall Axe Opportunities

During the INPEX trade show in Monroeville P.A USA. Adam Pauze was given the chance to pitch his products to many different companies like Stanley Black and Decker, Newell Rubbermaid (IRWIN), Tupperware, and Hampton Direct. He recently signed on as a vendor of Home Hardware Canada and have contacts in Global companies such as Elmer’s and Plews and Edelmenn.

DryWall Axe Product Development

Drywall Axe SIZE CHANGE OF THE DRYWALL AXE

After showing the Drywall Axe to different companies they all came back with the same concern: “It’s too bulky“. Listening to my critics, I decided to make my invention less bulky and more streamlined. We changed the measuring tape length from 25” to 16” and we were able to shrink the product by 25%. We spoke with many trades people and they all agreed that a 16” tape measure was more than adequate, since most drywall used is only 8” in length.

Milk Jug

Milk Jug

I have been working with adults with developmental disabilities for over 10 years. Every morning I am at work I assist the gentleman I support with breakfast. The guys I worked with seemed to always get more milk on the table then they got on their cereal. After observing this for a couple months I thought there has to be a better way to pour milk without making a mess. I started to pay attention to the way my family and I were pouring milk and noticed that we always had to hold the pitcher with one hand and the back corner of milk bag with the other hand to stop the milk bag from falling forward and causing a mess. That is when I came up with the plan to design a better NON-SLIP MILK PITCHER. After a meeting with my team we came up with the Easy Pour No Mess Milk Pitcher that will be sold across Canada in the near future.
